There was life before this album, and there was life after this album. Taylor Swift, while on the biggest tour in history, released an album that absolutely bared it all. She dug deep into heart break & life in the spotlight for this body of work. For the fans that have been with her for years, this album gave the most raw look into Taylor Swift (the human being). She is heart broken, she is strong, she is angry, she is sharp, she is a star. It’s long, no doubt. And while I give it a 5 stars, I recognize some songs that didn’t quite fit (such as “Robin,” “Thank You Aimee” and “So High School), but, the way I see it, this album is a much needed purge. All things good, bad & ugly. It highlights Taylor Swift in all aspects. If you’re not a fan, listen to “loml” or “The Prophecy” and I think you’ll have a peek into her genius. This goes down top 10 albums ever for me. One I reach for on good days and bad.
