Reviews
After the first 4 tracks of Getting Killed, I was suspicious of the hype around Geese. The second half of the album, however, left me feeling sold. Chaotic and filled to the brim with energy, it is not a peaceful or particularly satisfying listen. But I can’t help but feed off of the aforementioned energy of the project.
As an outsider looking in, the rise of geese seemed so sudden and aggressive that I put this one on the back burner out of almost reluctance to join this Cameron Winter cult. I really enjoyed “getting killed”, and understand why so many young people feel attached to a record like this. I think years from now this album will be a time stamp for the “beginning” (in terms of commercial success) of a much bigger and prolific catalog for the band, as what truly is special about Geese is their ability to turn people ravenous. People fucking love Geese dude, and that is fucking awesome. Sign me up for 10 more years of people talking about these guys
